Develop simple line drawings into layered prints.

With hands-on support from the tutor, you will learn to use a drypoint needle to create line and tone on a variety of surfaces, translating an existing drawing into a print-ready ‘plate’. You will be guided in how to print using an etching press and be introduced to colour techniques such as a la poupée and chine collée.

Inspired by the prints of Picasso and Louise Bourgeois, you will be encouraged to experiment with layering accessible printmaking processes to produce rich, expressive results.

All core materials and equipment included. Concession rates are available for those in receipt of income-assessed benefits.
