Working from a vibrant still life setup, students on this workshop will learn how to use collage as a means to generate fresh ideas for freer paintings. Through layering colour, shape and pattern, you will learn to respond more instinctively to the marks and shapes created during this process.
Inspired by the work of Matisse, Francis Davison and Florence Hutchings, this workshop is ideal for students looking to gain a better understanding of collage and how it can help with composition in their painting practice.
