Inspired by the joyful paintings of Wayne Thiebauld, this workshop celebrates the delight and indulgence found in everyday treats.
Working from a colourful still life of cakes, pastries and sweet snacks, you will explore oil paint with a focus on luminosity and vibrancy. This workshop encourages a playful and unpretentious approach to painting, embracing colour and light while revelling in an abundant land of treats – reminiscent of a Willy Wonka-style feast. With individual support from the tutor, you will have the option to develop one sustained painting over the course of the day, or create a series of small studies.
